Ever Review by ~ Juls

Ever (Ever, #1)Ever by Jessa Russo
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

**I was given an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion***

I would like to say thank you to Jessa Russo for the opportunity to receive a copy of Ever.

Ever’s love life has been on hold for the past two years. She’s secretly in love with her best friend Frankie and has been since they were little. However Frankie is dead and waking up to his ghost every day has made moving on nearly impossible. Ever has been avoiding going out and meeting new people. She is even home schooled because she hasn't been able to leave Frankie's side since the accident happened.

Jessie is Ever's best friend. She is always trying to get Ever to go on dates and attend parties with her. Jessie is constantly telling her that she can't hold her self back for a ghost. So when Ever gets a hot new neighbor, Jessie does all that she can to push Ever towards him. Surprisingly, it doesn't take too much of a push.
The sexy neighbor, Toby, moves into Frankie's old house right next door to Ever. The minute Ever sees Toby she is intrigued by him. No one has ever gotten her attention since Frankie died...until now! Falling for Toby comes with a price that throws Ever’s life into a whirlwind of chaos and drama.

In the beginning of Toby and Ever's relationship, Ever struggles with moving on with Toby because of her love for Frankie. With every hand held, every kiss, and every hug with Toby, Frankie flashes into her head. She is constantly having to push those thoughts away by reminding herself that she can never do those things with a ghost. It doesn't take long until she finds herself falling in love with Toby but she's not sure of his feelings for her.

Ever soon realizes that she doesn't know much about Toby personally. Every time she ask Toby about his personal life he turns the conversation back to to her. Then, when Ever's life gets shattered once again, Toby isn't there for her like she thought he would be.

Months go by without seeing or hearing from Toby. Jessie finally convinces Ever to go to a party with her to help her move on. While at the party, Ever begins to meet new people. However, Jessie never imagined that they would run into Toby!

Toby and Ever find themselves back in each others arms. This time, Toby has no problems telling Ever his true feelings for her.....

" I love you, Ever. God, I love you so much. I've been crazy without you."

Everything is going good. Ever is happy to have Toby back in her life and is looking forward to moving on once again.

On her 18th birthday, Ever gets a present that she never thought was possible. One that throws her life upside down, finding herself more confused then she ever was. She soon finds out that her "present" will cost her in the end.

This book does have some emotional roller coasters for you! I enjoyed the characters and all the ups and downs it took me through. I really liked how towards the end it is in Toby's POV. I love when books go back and forth between characters. On Ever's 18th birthday my heart stopped. I am definitely looking forward to reading Evade to see how the story continues. Something tells me it's going to be a kicker with the added characters. Over all...a good book!!
