***** I Love Story Time was gifted an ARC in exchange for an honest review *****

I just wanted to start off by saying that I was so excited when I got offered an ARC of this story! It was recommended to me after I posted a comment on our Facebook page that I was in search of my next book. I got offered the ARC and I could not pass it up. I LOVED it! I really enjoyed it and I can totally see this book as one of my books that I will go back and reread in the future.

Rory lives in a trailer park with her good for nothing mother and her younger brother. Rory spends her days in high school and her nights taking care of her brother the best she can. When Rory goes to her new school she comes across Tobias (Toby) West. Toby is the total opposite of Rory. Toby is Mr. Popular-Mr. Perfect and star football player with money in the bank. From the moment Toby comes across Rory, he can't leave her alone. He starts talking to her more and more and at first, Rory doesn't know why. Then Toby and Rory start to date and no one understands why because he is way out of her league. Toby's ex-girlfriend Ashley, is always trying to cause problems for them and is always picking on Rory. The only friend of Toby's that comes to her defense is Clay. Rory also has a best friend named Amandolette (Mando) who comes from the same side of the street as Toby. People also don't understand why she is her best friend either.

Toby and Rory's relationship is cute but odd at times. I think some of it has to do with the way Toby was raised. Even though he is dating her, when he drives her home to the trailer park he refuses to stop for her to get in or out of the car. He slows down and she has to jump in/out of his truck while he drives by. Apparently, he doesn't want the trailer park to rub off on him. You can tell in the story that Toby loves Rory and has a cute personality. But on the other hand, he doesn't stand up to his mom's coldness towards Rory when she is constantly saying rude comments about her. At those times I really didn't like Toby because it was as if he had no back bone.

Don't get me wrong there were so many times when I just loved him and totally laughed at parts in their relationship. You can tell he loved her whenever they had a misunderstanding. He would just break down crying trying to fix what ever situation was happening, not caring who was around to see him crying over a girl.......

"Toby you idiot, I saw you hug her."

Blinking he informs me, "No, I was not; you were mad and saw what you wanted. I had two cups in one hand and one in the other. I could not hug her mid-fall if I wanted to. WHICH I DO NOT! Think about this for a minute. COME ON, RORY! I love you, and you know that. Look at me, standing here in this parking lot, crying my face off, in front of all of them."He throws his hand back at the the door of the Dairy Bar, and sure enough, there stands his whole crew. The crew he is king of. The crew who refuses me."What do you want me to do? Do I have to get on my knees to prove to you that you are it for me?"And with that he drops the milkshakes and hits his knees, still in his dress clothes, tears pouring down his face, hands held towards me.

(After hearing Clay's side of the story, Rory realizes that Toby is telling the truth)

...So I let my guard down and give a still teary-eyed Toby a small smile. I crook my finger at him and can't help but to say....

"How do you call your lover boy?? Toby jumps up and grabs me around my waist, twirling me. He slides me down him, so we are face to face. He whispers......

"I say babyyy, my sweet babbyyy."At that, I let out a gut laugh, put my hands on each side of his face, and kiss him hard.

I seriously laughed at that part and fell in love with Toby. That part in the story showed his heart for Rory and his playfulness all at once. But that's not the only sweet things Toby tells her....

"You're beautiful baby. Your eyes are so amazing. The first time I ever saw you, I belonged to you."

Rory and Toby's relationship is just like any others with ups and downs, but they are getting through them together. Mean while at school, Toby is getting ready to graduate and is going away to play football for college. Toby tells Rory to come with him so they are not far apart. But Rory does not want to leave her brother.

One night Rory finds herself in a very bad situation with one of her mom's nasty one night stands. Rome hears screaming and runs in to save Rory by beating the crap out of the prick. Rory finds out that Rome lives just a few trailers down from her. Shortly after, Rome and Rory become great friends. They both have something in common. Just like Rory is taking care of her brother, Rome also has custody of his two younger brothers as well. They become instant family as the boys become good friends too . They are always hanging out together and are always having dinner together. Rory doesn't see any harm with having Rome so close to her but Toby has a different opinion.....

"He looks at you like you are a glass of water, and he has been lost in the desert for years. His face changes when you talk to him. He touches you nonstop, and when you walk, his eyes follow you. It's like he always knows where you are, what you are thinking, and what you need. I know you don't look at him that way because you look at me that way. But he wants what is mine, and it kills me because he has a part of you that not even I can get to. I hate him!

Do you sense a love triangle coming? Possibly! Or is Toby making it bigger then it is? After awhile Toby can't hold back his feelings anymore when Rory doesn't show up for his and Amanda's graduation due to unforeseen circumstances. With out finding out why she was not there, he shows up at her trailer and starts yelling and saying all kinds of hateful things to her. Once again, Rome is there to come to her rescue......

"Princess, tell me he's eighteen." What he is saying doesn't register. I am frozen in some weird place between fire and ice. I just nod my head yes, and then all hell breaks loose.

"Do not talk about her like that, you piece of shit!" POP! "She is nothing like that bitch! She is a good person with a heart and soul of gold!" WHAP! "She brings light to everything she touches!" POW! "You never deserved her!" Toby doesn't say anything; he can't. Rome's on top of him with his fist coming down over and over and over, busting him in the ribs.

Yes... there is definitely some action in this book! There is so much more that goes on between Rory, Toby, and Rome, but I will leave that for you to read about. I just want to touch bases on Rory's character. I loved it. Just like Rome said, she is such a good person with a big heart. One of the things I loved about her character was that every time she got nervous she started spilling out information about things that had nothing to do with what was going on. For example here are just a few of the facts that came out of her mouth at odd moments through out the book.....

"Did you know that a whale's penis is called a dork?"

"Did you know you can make change for a dollar 293 different ways?"

It was too funny... there are so many more but I just wanted to give you a small glimpse. Another character I also enjoyed was Amandolette (Mando), Rory's best friend. She also had some hilarious stuff come out of her mouth when she and Rory had conversations. I loved them both and loved their friendship. You can tell how much they meant to each other.

I'm sure after reading this review you can tell I loved it. I definitely recommend this book to anyone that is looking for a 5 Star read!!! Looking forward to reading more books by Delia Steele. Can't wait to see what's next!!
