Will I eventually cover them… like tattoos coating them with new memories, new love and new starts? I didn’t know these answers because the pain was too suffocating, the only thing I knew was they will always be under the surface lingering. He had scars too, from his sins. There is nothing that can cover them, they were too deep, too ugly, too dark and they marked us both forever.

I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters. I wanted to be an actress growing up so I could live many roles but I learned early on that my mind was too active... I would want to change the script.I would watch films and think of ways they could of improved the story if they took another direction so i thought it best that i tell my own. My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light, some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling. When I'm not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I'm a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time I love attending music concerts or reading events with my younger sister. WOW!!! There have only been a few books that have left me in awe and this is one of them! What an amazing, emotional, mind blowing, psychological thriller! There is so much I want to share with you but I can’t. I don’t want to ruin any of it so… YOU MUST READ!

Melody is the perfect daughter; the perfect friend. She is lovely, innocent, and full of light until one night, life as she knows it, is tragically altered. Away at college, Melody seeks to find solace and friendship…hoping to find a reason to breathe again amongst her pain and heart break. Little does she know, that her life will once again be turned on its axis…for better or worse.

Blake is cold, calculated, and lives to protect his younger brother, Ryan. He struggles with the sins of his past and present and fights against the darkness that threatens to overtake him until the day he literally runs into HER; the one girl that makes his heart beat again. This was the first book I have read by Ker Dukey and I am so completely convinced that I will read EVERYTHING she has ever written. This book is definitely a dark erotic romance and is not for those looking for a light, romantic alpha male that sweeps the girl off her feet. This is dark, violent, and intense! Empathy is for fans of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Raw, and Topping From Below. The storyline will keep you in constant angst and the epilogue will rock your world. I cannot wait for you to read it…I completely LOVED it! 5 MIND BLOWING STARS!
