3.5 Stars!

I'm not sure how to start this review. The name of this book is...Conflicted and that is exactly how I felt while reading it. I gave this book 3.5 stars because it did have potential and a good story line, but unfortunately I was not able to connect to the characters very well. I did connect with Ethan the most. He was a good hero, and definitely has a mysterious side to him that I liked. He also said some sweet things to Mia and you can tell he really did care about her....

"You're the only girl I've ever wanted to make a part of my life. I don't take chances on people. I'm sure you can relate. But with you, I took a leap of faith. I've watched you from afar, and swooped in at any chance I had to learn more about you."

As for Mia, I didn't feel that there was anything really special about her. She gets herself into a predicament between her job and the man she likes. She holds secrets from her friends most of the time and she didn't really have an outgoing personality to me. I really didn't get the connection with her that I like to get while reading a story.

Mia has roommates that she has been living with for a while. Their characters were a little over the top for me when it came to Mia. To me they treated her like a child and liked to tell her what to do and who she could talk to. However, I would like to read a story about Bri and Trey. I think their story could be interesting. Bri seems like a character that I may be able to connect with more. Trey seems like he has some alpha male in him!

Overall, I would say that this story was just okay for me. I did notice that a lot of people gave it 5 stars. This is just MY honest opinion so that does not mean that you will not like it. I think a lot of it was because of the lack of connection between myself and the characters. That being said, it does have some interesting twist and turns that did leave me with questions that I'm hoping to get answered in book 2!
