I'm continuing to enjoy this series by Pepper Winters. There are so many new things that come out in this book, but there are still so many unanswered questions that I am left with. However, we did find out some things about Jethro, and I loved that this time around we see his true feelings for Nila come out. In book 1 and 2, he always hid his feelings behind a wall, but in this book, I felt that he showed more of himself to us. I believe that Jethro isn't the hard man he has portrayed himself to be. I like the Jethro that he is becoming. I feel bad for him because I feel like he doesn't want to continue to live the life he was born in to. Keeping up with the debt the way his family expects him to is becoming harder and harder for him, and I can tell he struggles between what he wants and what is expected.

Nila is one strong girl. The things she is going through proves just how much she is able to handle. I would have already broken so many times if I were her. Dealing with everything, she is still able to hold herself together. When the second debt took place, my heart was beating so fast! I was so scared for her! I can't imagine having to go through that situation. It's so crazy the things that she has to go through all because of a debt.

Of course the ending continues to leave you wondering and needing to know what is going to happen next. The turn of events at the end was something I didn't see coming. Although this story all started with Nila being held against her will, held as a possession of a Hawk, I loved her reaction to the new change that takes place at the end. I'm looking forward to seeing how this series will continue and what new twist and revelations will come out!!!
