WORTH THE RISK (McKinney Brothers, #2) by Claudia Connor: Review by Lys

Worth the Risk (The McKinney Brothers, #2)Worth the Risk by Claudia Connor
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Another sweet read by Claudia Connor! I fell in love with the McKinney family when I first read Matt and Abby's story in Worth The Fall. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to read Stephan's story in this second book of the series.

Stephen was just as beautiful, sexy, and lovable as Matt despite the fact that he was struggling to escape a dark past and to live a life ridden with guilt. Escaping his demons by drowning himself in women and booze, he fights day to day to find the motivation to move on with his life. Until he has a chance encounter with a beautiful girl inside a grocery store, Stephen believed that his one shot at true love died all those years ago.

Hannah protects herself from the world only allowing her brothers, her saviors, to get close to her. Having lived through a horrific nightmare, Hannah finds strength in helping children just as scarred as she is through the use of physical therapy. Unsure of her ability to determine who she can trust, Hannah finds herself wanting the one man that could scar her heart like no other.

Worth The Risk is about loving someone beyond the darkness and trusting in them to bring you to the light. It's a story about two people who risked it all for love. You will fall for Stephen and Hannah just as I did. This was a love story that I really enjoyed. As I said before, I love all of the McKinney brothers and I am hoping for JT's story next. I was happy that Matt and Abby were apart of this book too! Hannah had some super sexy brothers as well. Especially Nick...he was intense! A series of their own would be fabulous. Who wouldn't want to read about a FBI agent, a fireman, a cop, and a man in special forces right?! I would definitely recommend this book...this series!
