TEN by Ker Dukey ~ Review by Juls

Ten (Men by Numbers, #1)Ten by Ker Dukey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 Stars!

Dalton Moore was my soul mate and I lived to love him. He was in my every childhood memory, every dream I conjured. He was every good decision I made. But for him.... I was in his every childhood memory, every nightmare he slipped into. I was the worst decision he ever made."

I just love Ker Dukey, do I really have to say anything other than that? Seriously, I don't even know what to write on Ker's reviews anymore because let's face it, I don't think I have ever read anything that she wrote that I didn't like. All my reviews probably sound repetitive because they go on and on about how AWESOME her stories are! Are there stories that are better than others? Yes. But there's not one that was bad, or not worth reading. I pretty much will read anything that has her name on it.

I have been waiting awhile for Ten to come out. Anytime I know I will be receiving one of her books, I try to wait as patiently as possible! Meaning, I check my emails probably twice a day to see if it was delivered!! What can I say? I'm hooked! So when I saw that Ten was sent to my kindle, I couldn't wait to dive right in!

I'm not sure if you heard, but prior to the release, Ker referred to Ten as being different from the other stories she's written. I would have to agree. If you've read some of her books, but thought they were too dark for you, I would recommend this story. I think the big difference would be that Ten isn't as dark as the Empathy or Facade Series. Those series were pretty dark, but that's what I liked about them! I felt that this story was missing a little something since I'm so used to what her "normal" books are like. I still enjoyed it, but I would have to say that the Empathy series is still my favorite one. Other than the darkness, Ten had everything else that I love from Ker Dukey. The story line was good and it still had the "WTH" moments and it was still pretty suspenseful! I enjoyed reading about Dalton and Alexandria's story. I felt bad for Dalton. All he wanted was a better life and yet he was still dragged into his families lifestyle. I also really liked Leon, my heart broke for him, and I'm really hoping we get to see more of him in an up coming story.

All in all, TEN is a great addition to my Ker Dukey library. Like I've mentioned before, if you like her stories, but would like something a little lighter, this would be it. I'm looking forward to continuing this series, and I can't wait to see what Six's story is going to be like! I have a feeling his is going to be good!! He seems like he would be one hot alpha male!
