Anie Michaels did a fantastic job with Instead of You. I fell in love with both Hayes and Cory. It had to be hard for Mckenzie to be torn between two brothers. I can see how the situation she found herself in with Cory can happen. After meeting Hayes, I understand how one look from him could leave a girl all hot and bothered! Hayes and Cory were both great in their own ways.

There were so many quotes that I liked from this story. But one of my favorites was....


"The first time, he kissed me because he thought he’d never have another chance. But the second time, well, he kissed me because he got the chance he never thought he’d have."


For some reason when I read that, I broke out in goosebumps. It fit perfectly with the situation at that time in the story. I really did enjoy everything about Instead of You. It kept me interested from the very beginning and I even needed a box of tissues. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for an emotional read with a HEA!
