TRANSFER by Aly Martinez: Review by Lys

Transfer (The Retrieval Duet, #2)Transfer by Aly Martinez
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5++ Brilliant Stars!

Transfer is the EPIC conclusion we have all been waiting for and holy mother of monkey milk, it did not disappoint! Picking up right where Retrieval left off, with my heart racing and my stomach in knots, Transfer continued to keep me on the edge of my seat. This book was just as intense and as captivating as the first. I did not want to put it down! From that first scene to the very last, my heart belonged to Elisabeth, Roman, Clare and Heath. I felt their fear, their joy, their heartache, and their love. Aly Martinez out did herself with this emotional story line and these remarkable characters. Written in 4 different POVs, her flawless, unique writing style puts the reader right in the middle of it all. I absolutely loved the sweet, super sexy, alpha males that Roman and Heath were. I also loved Elisabeth for her resilience and her big heart, but this story belonged to Clare. Her tenacious inner strength and her fierce determination to survive gave me goose bumps. Clare Cornwell is the ultimate book heroine! Transfer was the perfect conclusion to this phenomenal duet. There was so much beauty within the pages of this book despite it's dark edges. It's not everyday or even once a year that you read a book that completely consumes you and makes you feel so much. This one is it for me. This is my it book. My it duet. My it author!
