They say those who are the hardest to love are the ones who need it the most. I believe this to be spot on for Beau. My heart hurt for him because of the way everyone unfairly viewed him. Savannah was his light. The bright spot in his world. I loved how they met. I just envisioned this dirty, rough little boy with trouble written all over his face, and this sweet, innocent little girl with so much love to give. My stomach ached over what Beau had been carrying with him all those years. I don't know how he managed to hold on to so much pain, yet continue to give Savannah all his love. I cried with them both over what they had to overcome and rejoiced in their strength and ability to forgive. We now know why Beau was the way he was and we too now see his heart as Savannah did. I have loved all of the Dixon boys' stories, but I think Beau's resonated with me the most. It pulled my heart strings and brought about a kaleidoscope of emotions. The Brewed Series is a must read for fans of small town, second chance romances. I highly recommend!
