You know that feeling that you get when you're reading a good book? When you can feel the words throughout your entire body... even in your fingers and toes? You feel excited, anxious, hot? That’s how I felt reading Enemies. I consumed this enemies-to-lovers romance. I loved the sexual tension and the angst between Dusty and Stone. It's my favorite!
Stone Reeves .... good grief, he lit me up! I loved how masculine he was. How he took control. Sweet baby Jesus, I was drooling all over myself! I just imagined this super sexy, deep voiced, MAN. He did not take no for an answer. He didn't care about anyone but Dusty. She was his priority. He did what he had to do to take care of her and it was crazy H.O.T!
Poor Dusty. So guarded and broken. Full of pain and loss. Her life had not been easy. Her strength and determination was admirable. Despite all the hurt she carried inside her, she kept pressing on. One foot in front of the other. One day at a time. I loved how she let Stone have it. She wasn't going to give him an inch! Too bad for Dusty, their chemistry was off the charts and he was just too irresistible!
Enemies was just what I needed. I love this trope and it was everything I hoped it would be. It was a super sexy, super angsty, slightly emotional read that reminds me that fate has a plan of her own, and that sometime's, there is a very thin line between love and hate. I highly recommend!
