ISN'T A STANDALONE. IT IS BOOK 2 IN THE SERIES AND IT IS MEANT TO BE READ AFTER
FORTUITOUS**
Anabella and Marcus have lived a fairy tale romance from the
moment they met. Realizing how special and rare their connection is, Marcus
wastes no time in proposing to Anabella. Wanting her to be his forever. But
they will soon realize that life does not always work as planned. Will their
love be able to withstand the obstacles heading their way?
Wow...this story was not what I was expecting! There were so many twist and turns that went on throughout the story that I did not see coming. What I thought was going to happen and what happened, was totally the opposite. That made it more intriguing to the point that I was able to read it in one sitting!
Due to Annabella having a new job, there were new characters introduced in Life After Love. I really did like Dillion. He seemed sweet and loving. I did feel bad for the situation he was in towards the end of the book, but I'm hoping that things will change for the better.
This story is really fast paced when it comes between the characters and their relationship. I think it may have to do with the length of the story. This was another short read, but it was still good. I loved that Sloan was in the story again. I'm still rooting for him! I'm hoping that maybe in book 3 he will have more to do with the storyline. I wouldn't mind reading a book about him!
One thing I will say about Life After Love, was that in the beginning, it was a little confusing. It doesn't really start off where book 1 ended. When I first started to read it, I felt that I had missed something? In the end, it all came back around. Over all, I would say it was a good book.

Anabella
Summers was a typical seventeen years old. She was happy, popular, smart and
was thinking about graduation and which college she would go to. Then one
Saturday night her parents were killed in a fatal car accident. Immediately,
Anabella felt like the colors were sucked away from the world. Devastated, she
moved in with her older sister in the hopes of starting over in a new place.
Away from all the memories that were consuming her.
Follow Anabella and discover along with her what life has stored
for her from that moment on.
3.5 Stars!
I just finished Fortuitous, and I was able to read it in one sitting! If you're looking for a quick easy read, this would be what I would recommend. However, just because it's a short read, it does not mean it lacks in sex scenes. There are definitely some steamy scenes in this story!
Annabella moved to LA to live with her sister. She's just finishing up high school and about to turn 18. When she first gets to town, she meets Marcus. Marcus is 23 and an established business man who has everything he needs; including women constantly throwing themselves at him. So when he doesn't want anyone else after just one encounter with Bella, she can't understand why he wants her. Bella sees herself as just an ordinary girl. She doesn't see that guys gravitate towards her.
On Annabella's first day at her new school, she meets Slade. Slade is in the same grade and has a few classes with her. Their relationship is strictly friends, but I can tell Slade feels a little more for her than friendship. Honestly, I kinda liked Slade. There's something dark and mysterious about him!
In the end, this was a good story. The only thing I had a hard time with, was how fast the relationship between Marcus and Annabella moved. I am happy that I get to jump right into book 2! Book 1 kind of leaves you with a little cliffhanger, so I'm interested to see how things continue. I'm also nervous, just a little bit, that something might happen between Slade and Annabella. I hope he doesn't give up too easily on his feelings for her. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
