**** I Love Story Time was gifted an ARC by Lisa Suzanne in exchange for an honest review ****

4.5 Stars!!

I really enjoyed this book! Quinn is living her life the way she has always wanted. Doing what she wants when she wants and having a no strings attached relationship with her friend Tyler. Tyler is everything she has always looked for in a man. He's hot, has tattoos, and gives off that bad boy vibe that Quinn loves. Tyler is the bartender at the club Strikers that Quinn goes to with her close friends which is convenient for Quinn because she sees nothing wrong with a little hook up in the halls with Tyler. In fact, that is the highlight of Quinn's nights! Quinn finds herself always gravitating to Tyler and always waiting for the time to meet up with him at their spot. Little does Quinn know that things are about to change... and in walks Reed Porter.

When Reed first approaches Quinn at the bar, Quinn doesn't give him a chance. From the beginning, she is anything but nice to him. One look at him and Quinn sees nothing but a preppy blue eyed boy. Reed is the total opposite of what Quinn looks for when it comes to men. He's clean cut, blond hair, blue eyed pretty boy. After their first short conversation, Quinn leaves the bar thinking that's the last time she will be seeing Reed. Little does she know, that's far from the truth.

The next day Quinn finds herself once again face to face with Reed Porter. She can't believe her luck of running into the boring guy from the club. Come to find out he works with her brother and is now his new roommate. Quinn and Reed's relationship picks up right where they left off from the night before. Nothing but bickering back and forth, and that is one thing I love about them! I love the back and forth that they do through the book. Quinn is feisty and Reed gives right back. The two together are too much. Quinn is always so cold to him, but Reed doesn't back down.

Quinn continues her relationship with Tyler but also finds Preppy Porter constantly in her head.....

"But damn Preppy Porter wouldn't get out of my mind. He was a baseball cap forward kind of guy. I went for the baseball cap backwards kinds of guys."

To try to get Reed off her mind, Quinn and her friends, Veronica and Avery, go out to Strikers for some drinks. Once Quinn gets to Strikers she spots Tyler right away. After some dancing she meets him at their usual spot behind the black curtain. Once she gets there she sees Tyler and they hook up. Once she is back with her friends she's having a drink and Reed comes over to talk. Quinn right away gives him the cold shoulder with a snappy attitude as always and Reed has had enough.....

" Quinn, what exactly is your problem with me?" I rolled my eyes as I shifted in my seat. I had about a million problems with the guy. He was preppy. He was pretty. He had no visible tattoos. He was blonde. He was sweet. He wore polo shirts and khaki pants. He was obnoxious. He wasn't my type. He was everything I didn't want in a man. But for some reason, fate kept throwing him in my path. And for some reason I couldn't get his stupid face out of my head. But I couldn't say any of that, but my filter was missing. "I just want to stop thinking about you and your stupid blue eyes,"I blurted.

Once Reed knows he is on her mind he does everything he can to get her to take a chance on him. He starts popping up everywhere she is and does not take no for an answer. Finally Quinn gives in and agrees to their first date!! So the night of the date Quinn gets a text from Reed....

"What's your address?

Why don't you ask my brother?

Should I ask him if i can borrow a condom, too?

That's disgusting.

Why do you make everything so difficult?"

Love the banter! Love the constant back and forth! But, don't get me wrong. There are some parts that I just loved......

"I get why you're scared. But I'm not that guy. I'm not the guy who cheated on you. I'm not the guy who drove drunk. I'm Reed Porter. I'm a genuinely nice guy who sees a woman who is hurting but who wants to be healed. And I want to be the one who mends what the others broke."

I just love him!! He is so much more than what Quinn first see's in him. He is everything that she needed but never thought she wanted. One thing I really loved about Quinn was no matter who she met she constantly came up with nick names for everyone....

Preppy Porter, Dorky Dark Hair, McSlut, Remarkable Romantic Reed, Repulsive Reed, Talented Tyler, Half-Naked Giant Tits, Twatwaffle Tyler, Jokester Joey, Jerkoff Joey, Perplexed Porter...

There are so many more!! Totally made me crack up. Now don't get me wrong, there were some parts that I wanted to slap Quinn and yell at her!!

There's so much to Quinn and Reeds relationship that goes beyond what I have given you. So I would totally recommend this book to someone who loves a good story with some laughter and a hot "good guy" for once! I defiantly like the good guys just as much as the bad ones!

BITTERSWEET REVENGE Release Day Blitz!!!

Bittersweet Revenge
by J.L. Beck
Series: Bittersweet, #1
Genre: Mature YA/New Adult - Novella
Publish Date: July 26, 2014

I’m a slut. Or at least that’s what everyone calls me. I guess that’s what you get when everyone thinks you've slept with the whole football team and then some.

My junior year of high school I gave my heart to Corey Winchester. He was handsome, cocky, and a pure gentlemen. Then everything changed in an instant. When I found out he was spreading malicious rumors about me, after I refused to sleep with him I was utterly surprised. To add to it, he broke up with me in front of the whole school. I essentially became the laughing stock of the town. People that I once called my friends became my enemies. Finding a way to ruin my life one day at a time.

Now the shitty part is I should have known a pretty boy like him was too good to be true. After ruining my reputation and life I did everything I could to stay under the radar, but it just wasn't enough. I slowly learned that all the torment, and hate was all for one thing. Revenge. That’s what Corey wanted, and why I didn't know. Then Rex Winchester came along. Corey’s cousin, and someone I knew I shouldn't be getting close with. A whole six feet of hotness, a smile that melted the panties off of every girl in a fifty mile radius, and a heart of gold. He could have anyone he wanted, so why he chose me Corey’s ex, the bullied, slutty girl was beyond me. All I knew was that I wanted him. I wanted him more than anything. The problem was, I couldn't tell if Rex, was just like Corey or if his intentions were as innocent as he was making them out to be.

My names Jenna Haines, and this is the story of how the one thing I wanted.. turned out to be the one thing that would hurt me the most. What happens when the one thing you least expect to happen, does? When all the lies and secrets come out. Well you're about find out.

Our eyes met from across the table. His looking as if they were asking for more, answers. He looked curious, and I wasn’t looking for curious. “Yeah mine too. Let’s go get a shake. FFA still does that shake Friday thing right?” I asked. I could really go for a mint chocolate-chip shake right about now. We got up to dump our trays, but before I could move out of my seat an arm snaked around my shoulder pushing me back down. I turned all but growling as I realized the arm belonged to the mongrel Corey. “Remove your fucking arm from my body before I show you what it’s like to have your balls stuffed up your ass.” He smiled, a big toothy grin, dimples and all that use to have me melting in his hands, now I just wanted to puke all over his face. Distress singles were going off like crazy in my head.

“Tsk, tsk, is that anyway to talk to me Jenna?” He said his arm very much still around me. I was about to lose my shit. “Move on asshole, no one cares what you have to say.” Mimi yelled.

He tilted his head at her as if trying to find her one weakness. The best thing about Mimi was anything that he said to her she would brush off. I however wouldn't.

“Hmm. Why don’t you stop worrying about me, and put your tits back in your shirt. That is unless you're joining the slut club that Jenna here is the president of?” Mimi smiled, leaning across the table, giving him a huge eyeful of her cleavage. “I think your lost buddy, president of the slut club is Marie Jameson.” She replied in a sultry tone pointing to the end of the table.

“But in case you can’t find her let me draw you a map with some crayons, you go past leave us the fuck alone, turn right at fuck off, and oh look you're in slut country.” His eyes dilated, and I couldn’t hold my laughter in. Mimi always knew how to tell someone to fuck off.

I pushed his arm off of me, catching a smirk on Rex’s face at the end of the table, knowing he had probably heard the whole conversation.

Corey gazed at me, following my line of vision to Rex. As soon as I seen I was caught I dropped my eyes down to my tray. The last thing I needed was Corey having yet another thing to use against me. His face leaned into mine, I could feel his hot breath on my cheek. The last time we were in a position like this was the very last time he kissed me. It was the last time, he ever treated me like anything other than a door mat.

“I won't warn you off, because you know what I’m capable of Jenna. But if you think you have a chance with Rex you’re more than fucking wrong. Don’t cross me, you know as much as I do you don’t fit in with that crowd. I mean look at us, how well did that work out. If you think I make your life hard now, lets just say it can get ten times harder.” He whispered in my ear, wrapping a small strand of my hair around his finger before standing.

“Also you might want to start fighting your own battles. Oh and nice tits Mimi.” He said loudly well smirking. My heart was racing, as he walked away. An encounter like that never happened before. School had been in session only a week and I knew that he would more than live up to his word on hurting me.

“What a fucking douche-asshat-fucking-cumsucker” Mimi said under her breath as he walked away. I couldn't agree more, but I wasn't going to keep retaliating against him. One he wasn't worth it really, and two I would be out of here in nine short months. If I could just manage to get through it.

Mimi reached across the table and grabbed my hand, pushing me from my thoughts. “Don’t let his false threats get to you. He will get what’s coming to him, he will pay for what he’s done to you. Maybe not today, or tomorrow but someday. I swear to it Jenna.” She said sincerely.

“You know I love you right. If I was into girls I would totally choose you as my girlfriend. No homo of course.” She giggled. “Sorry love, but I’m very much into dick. Like a lot.” I laughed back. This was true friendship right here. Now to get through the rest of the day without another encounter from either of the Winchester boys.

**** I Love Story Time was gifted an ARC in exchange for an honest review ****

Jenna is in high school and is trying to keep her distance from the school bullies. She is looking forward to her senior year since it will be her last. She once dated Corey Winchester, the popular boy in school and the star football player. That all came to an end when they broke-up and Corey started spreading rumors about Jenna. Jenna doesn't know why Corey went from being with her to hating her so quickly. Corey is now constantly picking on her and so are all his friends.

I felt so bad for Jenna. She never did anything wrong but everyday she goes to school and gets picked on or called names just by walking down the halls of the school. I would hate to be her and have to deal with people that were once your friends...that turned their backs on you. One thing I did wish was that she would have stuck up for herself a lot sooner in the book. I wanted her to just say or do something back to them but she never did. Jenna did have a good friend named Mimi that was constantly talking crap right back to anyone that so much as looked at Jenna wrong. And boy did Mimi have some good comebacks......

"I think your lost buddy, president of the slut club is Marie Jameson." She replied in a sultry tone pointing to the end of the table. "But in case you can't find her let me draw you a map with some crayons, you go past leave us the fuck alone, and turn right at fuck off, and oh look you're in slut country."

Love it!! She not only has a sassy mouth. She also does give some great advice when Jenna needs it...

"Do what you think is right Jenna. Follow your heart. If you believe there is good in Rex then I'll support you no matter what. Everyone needs a chance every once in a while. This is yours."

Good advice from a great friend is all you really need at times. Now, as for Rex? Rex is Corey's cousin. Yes, the one and only person that Jenna despises the most has a hot cousin that is the new boy at school. When Jenna first see's Rex she is caught off guard and can't keep her eyes off him!! But when she finds out that he is related to Corey, she instantly keeps her distance. Only distance is hard to keep when they are constantly bumping into each other. Especially when Rex wants anything but distance between them. Rex finally talks Jenna into being friends with him if that is all she is willing to do. Rex does and say's all he can to show Jenna that she can trust him....

"Give me time pretty girl. That's all I need. I promise you won't regret it."

So Jenna and Rex become friends but it doesn't help her situation with the kids at school who are constantly messing with her. Even Corey continues to say hurtful things to Jenna. Rex does do what he can to defend her but through him Jenna finally finds the strength and courage to start sticking up for herself!! Jenna feels that Rex has brought happiness to her life after all that she has been through and slowly she notices her feelings start to change towards him. Rex has always had more than just friend feelings for Jenna so when she finally starts to come around Rex doesn't hold back.....

.. He groans into my mouth, his fingers dig into my scalp and shoulder, the tinge of pain a welcoming feeling. The kiss ends all too soon, as he pulls away reluctantly. His face is flushed, matching my own. "Friends don't kiss." I can't help but say, remembering the words I said to him that day, not too long ago in the library. "We were never friends Jenna."....

There are some secrets that come out through out the story as well. One is what Jenna never would have thought imaginable...that causes her to wonder who she can really trust in her life. I did enjoy reading this book. It was a good easy read. I am looking forward to what comes next in Jenna's college years in book 2!! I would give this book 4 stars and would recommend this book to anyone looking for a light easy read with a love story and some drama. Definitely a great start to the Series!!

EXCERPT

I see her wobble on her feet before she slowly tumbles

to the ground. Her knees give out first, then the rest of

her. It feels like I should've gotten to her earlier, but

seconds of panic took place before my mind kicked into

gear. And the rest is a blur.

Her friend's standing over us while I rest her head on

my lap. "Lucy," I say. And it's the first time I've said

her name out loud. It'd been over three weeks since I'd

learned it.

"What happened?" Logan asks her friend.

"I don't know." She's as panicked as I am, if not

worse.

"Is she dehydrated?" Logan picks up what looks like an

uneaten sandwich. "Is this hers? Has she eaten?" I don't

know why it annoys me that Logan is asking all the right

questions and all I can do is stare down at her. She's

breathing, so I guess that's something.

He drops down on his knees on the other side of her and

pours water from his bottle into his hand, and then he

runs it across her forehead and into her hairline.

"Is she alright, mate?" Jake asks. He's new and has a

weird accent but Logan seems to think he's cool so we

keep him around.

Logan does the water thing again, and this time her

eyes slowly flutter open.

And I release the breath I was holding.

"It's okay," Logan says to her, "you just passed out."

He's in her face now, and I want to punch him for being

the first thing she sees when she comes to. I was here

first; I was the one watching her when she fell. It

should have been me.

The More Series

More Than This, #1

*Mikayla*

In one night my fairytale ended. Or it may have begun. This is my story of friendship and love, heartbreak and desire, and the strength to show weakness.

*Jake*

One night I met a girl. A sad and broken girl, but one more beautiful than any other. She laughed through her sadness, while I loved through her heartbreak.

*This is our story of a maybe ever after.*

He was right. It made no difference whether it was 6 months or 6 years.

I couldn’t undo what had been done. I couldn’t change the future.

I couldn’t even predict it.

It was one night.

One night when everything changed.

It was so much more than just the betrayal.

It was the Tragedy.

The Deaths.

The Murders.

But it was also that feeling.

The feeling of falling.

For every action there is an equal or opposite reaction." For every choice you make there are rewards, or there are consequences. It was my choice to walk away the first time. And my choice to chase her the second. But sometimes you don't get a choice, and all you get are the consequences.” "Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.” Unless that someone is Logan Matthews. Because loving him didn't give me the strength to walk away. It didn't give me the courage to fight for him. And when it was over, all it gave me was a broken heart.

More Than Him, #3

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us." - Marianne Williamson

We live in a world of darkness and shadows,
where monsters hide and aim to ruin.
And they did.
They ruined us and turned our dreams into nightmares.
But now we're back.
And we're fighting.
Not just for us, or for each other, but for our light.
