**** I Love Story Time was gifted an ARC in exchange for an honest review ****

Jenna is in high school and is trying to keep her distance from the school bullies. She is looking forward to her senior year since it will be her last. She once dated Corey Winchester, the popular boy in school and the star football player. That all came to an end when they broke-up and Corey started spreading rumors about Jenna. Jenna doesn't know why Corey went from being with her to hating her so quickly. Corey is now constantly picking on her and so are all his friends.

I felt so bad for Jenna. She never did anything wrong but everyday she goes to school and gets picked on or called names just by walking down the halls of the school. I would hate to be her and have to deal with people that were once your friends...that turned their backs on you. One thing I did wish was that she would have stuck up for herself a lot sooner in the book. I wanted her to just say or do something back to them but she never did. Jenna did have a good friend named Mimi that was constantly talking crap right back to anyone that so much as looked at Jenna wrong. And boy did Mimi have some good comebacks......

"I think your lost buddy, president of the slut club is Marie Jameson." She replied in a sultry tone pointing to the end of the table. "But in case you can't find her let me draw you a map with some crayons, you go past leave us the fuck alone, and turn right at fuck off, and oh look you're in slut country."

Love it!! She not only has a sassy mouth. She also does give some great advice when Jenna needs it...

"Do what you think is right Jenna. Follow your heart. If you believe there is good in Rex then I'll support you no matter what. Everyone needs a chance every once in a while. This is yours."

Good advice from a great friend is all you really need at times. Now, as for Rex? Rex is Corey's cousin. Yes, the one and only person that Jenna despises the most has a hot cousin that is the new boy at school. When Jenna first see's Rex she is caught off guard and can't keep her eyes off him!! But when she finds out that he is related to Corey, she instantly keeps her distance. Only distance is hard to keep when they are constantly bumping into each other. Especially when Rex wants anything but distance between them. Rex finally talks Jenna into being friends with him if that is all she is willing to do. Rex does and say's all he can to show Jenna that she can trust him....

"Give me time pretty girl. That's all I need. I promise you won't regret it."

So Jenna and Rex become friends but it doesn't help her situation with the kids at school who are constantly messing with her. Even Corey continues to say hurtful things to Jenna. Rex does do what he can to defend her but through him Jenna finally finds the strength and courage to start sticking up for herself!! Jenna feels that Rex has brought happiness to her life after all that she has been through and slowly she notices her feelings start to change towards him. Rex has always had more than just friend feelings for Jenna so when she finally starts to come around Rex doesn't hold back.....

.. He groans into my mouth, his fingers dig into my scalp and shoulder, the tinge of pain a welcoming feeling. The kiss ends all too soon, as he pulls away reluctantly. His face is flushed, matching my own. "Friends don't kiss." I can't help but say, remembering the words I said to him that day, not too long ago in the library. "We were never friends Jenna."....

There are some secrets that come out through out the story as well. One is what Jenna never would have thought imaginable...that causes her to wonder who she can really trust in her life. I did enjoy reading this book. It was a good easy read. I am looking forward to what comes next in Jenna's college years in book 2!! I would give this book 4 stars and would recommend this book to anyone looking for a light easy read with a love story and some drama. Definitely a great start to the Series!!
