Turned out, Merrick only wanted to hire me because I was the least competent candidate. It seemed his board was making him fill the position, against his wishes.
I didn’t really want to work in a place where my boss expected me to fail. But I figured maybe I’d enjoy proving him wrong. It was a little thing I dubbed the boss project.
What I wasn’t prepared for was that there would be other things I’d enjoy doing to Merrick Crawford.
Getting involved with the boss wasn’t the smartest choice.
But you know what they say about choices: Some we regret, some we are proud of. I just had no idea where this one was going to land.

I never read the synopsis of Vi Keeland’s stories. She is a 1-click author for me. I know I’m going to enjoy it and so I figure, why bother? Well, she got me this time! I was not expecting to cry! And boy did I ever!
I fell in love with the hero from the start. I can’t get enough of a hot, sexy, alpha in a suit. I think Christian Grey set that stage for me and I’ve been loving the show ever since. Merrick Crawford is gorgeous, successful, and dominating. He is quick witted and has a delicious, filthy mouth. I loved every minute of it! What completely killed me though was his vulnerability. I was done. A mess. His story gutted me.
I have enjoyed all of Vi’s stories, but The Boss Project is most definitely one of my favorites. This heart felt romance has it all. A sexy hero, a strong heroine, humor, heat, and lots of heart. I highly recommend. Merrick and Evie forever!
