Wow!!!! That is all I have to say.....

I love books that have to do with a bad ass, arrogant fighter and this story did not let me down.

Ash is known as the Beat's golden boy. He has been gone for awhile and no one knows where he went until one night he shows up at his old stomping grounds where it all began. Little did he know, that he would run into Ren as she's swinging a bat towards him!

Ren just lost her mom to cancer and her mom's last wish was for her to find her father that abandoned her when she was 5 years old. After searching and locating him, she found out that he has a whole different life and family. He is now the owner of Beat, and trains the up and coming fighters.

Ren stays at Beat and since she doesn't have much to do, she takes advantage of the gym and the classes that are offered. Realizing she likes it, she starts to train herself at night when she has the gym to herself once everyone leaves. Then one night while she's working out, she is startled by a noise and thinks someone is breaking in. That's when she comes across Ash.

From the moment Ash and Ren meet, they are constantly at each others throats. They push each other to their limits and wonder who will break first. Ren knows she is attracted to him right away but can't stand how cocky he is around her and everyone else. So, she is constantly battling with herself to not give in to what her body wants. Ash doesn't understand why he is drawn to Ren, since he has never experienced this type of feeling before. So he does everything he can to push her buttons to keep her away. He knows that he can't let her get close to him because it will change everything.

Then one night when Ren is doing her usual training on her own, Ash shows up and things start to change. Little by little they get closer and closer and sparks begin to fly. They start training together and Ren realizes that she is drawn to the rink and wants to learn everything she can about fighting. Ash doesn't like it, but Ren doesn't let him have a say. She's a grown women who can decide what she wants to do with her life, and won't let anyone get in her way.

I did like Ren's friends Josie and Seth. Poor Seth. He's so sweet. Would love to read a little more about him! Josie, loved her conversations that she had with Ren, they were too funny... and the support she gave to Ren when it came to Monica was hilarious.....

"FYI, she's ugly beautiful, Ren. No competition.

I frowned."Ugly beautiful?"

"So beautiful she's ugly. All surface, hollow inside. If she was a model, she'd do bikini shoots in men's magazines and suck cock to get an extra page."

HaHa! Love it. Way to make someone feel better about pretty bitches!

I also really liked some of the one liners that Ren would think in her head....

After Ren and Seth kissed Ren thought.... "It felt nothing like the times Ash had kissed me. No fireworks, no moisture or pussy clenching. No nothing."

"He pounded into my pussy, taking everything he needed, but giving me all I wanted. It was fucking porn star sex but with out the soundtrack."

Got to love those clenching kisses!

I really enjoyed this book. This story had the perfect combination of action and love. Both Ash and Ren's characters were amazing. Ash was hot and arrogant, and Ren was one bad-ass chick. They were the perfect hot couple, and I can't complain about the sex scenes! They totally lived up to their characters and the animalistic side of their relationship. There were so many parts that I was so nervous about what was going to happen both inside and outside the rink. I loved the fight scenes. So, if your looking for a good book that gives you passion and angst, this book would be great! I can not wait for book 2!! This book definitely left me wanting more!
