THIS story! It was such a PHENOMENAL read! The gut wrenching emotion left my stomach in knots and my heart in my throat. The power of Aly Martinez's words so tragically; yet beautifully, expressed Charlotte and Porter's feeling of hope, loss, and betrayal. Their fear was palpable. Their desperation filled me with anxiety. Their love was all consuming. I felt as if I was right there with them. I was so happy for Charlotte, but so completely devastated for Porter. So much pain and anguish filled the pages. At times, it was almost unbearable to continue on when all the feels became overwhelming. But despite all the pages that were shrouded in darkness, there was light. A light that shined so vibrant on all the words that it left me in utter awe of Aly Martinez. For she has yet again written another BRILLIANT story with the most EXCEPTIONAL characters. If there ever were a story that depicted a man, I mean, a REAL man, it was Porter Reese. He was EVERYTHING! The Darkest Sunrise Duet are by far my most favorite books of 2017!
