4 Stars!

"You can only be broken for so long before it gets to you. Before the hate, and guilt that you carry around eats away at you. You could care less about being alone for the rest of your life, because nothing matters to you."

OMG!!!! I am seriously loving this series!! From the beginning of the story, there is so much action that takes place. Throughout this book, so many secrets come out, as well as answers to my questions from book 1. I can't even believe the twist and turns that take place in this book. My heart was already pounding by the time I reached chapter 2!! I still love Zerro and Bree together! They are the perfect dysfunctional couple! LOL.

Zerro is still the hot as hell...alpha male that he was in book 1! I don't know how it's possible, but I even fell more in love with him this time around. I didn't think that was possible, but it was! I feel this story shows both the good and the bad in Zerro. He is torn with being the man he is vs. the man he was bread to be, a killer. Bree knew there was more to Zerro, then what he wanted to believe. She saw beneath his façade, and let him know exactly what she felt.....

"This isn't you." She fought back. "This is the shell of a man who was used to existing simply because dealing with the pain of what happened had been too much. Think whatever you want, Alzerro King, but know you can't hide who you really are. I've already had a taste of the man underneath, and I will do anything I can to never let him go."

Bree wasn't the only one putting her feelings on the line. Zerro has never felt the way he does about Bree with any other women. He has never loved and, he never thought he would. Bree brings the best out in him, and he finally lets his guard down....

"I know I've hurt you. I put your life in danger. I could've had us both killed numerous times. I threatened your life back at your childhood home, and I want you to know it killed me to hurt you. It ripped me apart inside. Your heartbeat is my own. Your voice my own. Your fears my own. You're mine, and I will never do anything to jeopardize that again."

I loved Bree in this book as well. She is still the spit fire that she became in book 1. She totally went from the easy going girl...to the bad ass (willing to kill) if she needed to. Zerro describes her perfectly when he says.....

"I had taken the beautiful, innocent angel she was and had molded her into the devils toy. I had broken her beyond repair."

I love Zerro and Bree's relationship. They pushed each other's buttons more and more. I loved when Bree would lose control over situations and fight against Zerro. He in return, would turn it around and use it against her. He'd take them from ripping each other's heads off...to the best sex scenes possible!! He even did it while showing his playful personality.....

"Were going to play a game, Bree. We're going to get rid of all of this anger, and the best way I see fit is to fuck. So tell me - top or bottom?"

Another great addition to this series!! I can not wait for the next book! There's something about Devon that makes me want to know more about him! Plus, I can't wait to see where the story will go from here!
