The
guys piled into two separate elevators, but Ethan steered us into the
remaining one to ride down alone. Once we were inside, I tried to
separate myself from him, but he towed me into his body. He shuffled us
to the middle and pressed my back against the wall. I stared at the
intensity in his eyes. His hands flitted along the waistline of my jeans
before he ran them up the inside of my T-shirt. My mouth opened, but he
silenced me by crashing his lips into mine. I gasped and closed my eyes
as his tongue deeply explored my mouth.
My
mind fought for control since it wasn’t really the time or the place,
but my body beat it back with bursts of heated desire shooting in every
direction. My heart skipped beats and my stomach fluttered at the
thought of what this man could to me in a matter of seconds. My hands
grasped tightly around his neck as he rammed his body into mine. It
reinforced the eagerness he had in my mouth as our tongues tangled. I
almost forgot about the grave night ahead of us, but then the elevator
came to a halt. Ethan’s teeth grazed my bottom lip before he stepped
away. My eyes opened in enough time to catch the deep love behind his.
I
shook my head while trying to catch my breath. I wanted to hunch to my
knees to get control over my body again. At the moment, it was dead set
on pulling the emergency alarm so I could have my way with Ethan. I
remained upright and continued to will my body into a functional state
that didn’t revolve around sex.
Bastard.
If I ever figure out how he does this to me, I swear I’m writing it
down. It’s beyond annoying that he has this part of me figured out when I
don’t even understand it.
Ethan smirked. “It’s the only way to calm you down.”
“Calm
me down … you fired me up. Luckily, what we’re about to do is more than
enough to cool me off,” I retorted as we walked out of the elevator.

Wow!! This story is full of all kinds of twist and turns! I can totally see why it's called... Complicated. This story starts off right where Conflicted ended with Ethan and Mia still learning how to knock each others walls down. However, little by little they both start to open up to each other more and more. Ethan introduces Mia to important people from his past, which helps Mia understand Ethan's personality more. Mia also introduces Ethan to someone close and little by little Mia is able to actually think about her future.
In Complicated, Ethan and Mia's relationship was just starting and it was more of a push and pull relationship. I felt that this time around, we were able to see more of the loving relationship between them. I like how in love Ethan is with Mia and how he is always doing the sweetest things for her. I loved that he's finally opening up to her and letting her in. Don't get me wrong, they still had the bickering back and forth that I like to read about. They can be hot and heavy one minute and the next ice cold!! It's too funny. But when Ethan finally opened up, and let his true feelings out, it was so heartwarming as he wrote it out for her.....

Ethan made me fall in love with him in this story. I just loved watching him start to believe that he does deserve to be happy! However, Micah is slowly making his way into my heart! We finally as a reader know why Micah did the things he did and I can't help but want to root for him too!! I can tell that Micah still loves Mia, and I know deep down Mia still has a place for him in her heart. Besides, after she finds out the truth about Micah's reasoning's how can she not?? Ugh....I'm so confused, I don't who I want to come out on top!
I really did enjoy this book this time around. I was struggling with Conflicted when I was reading it. When I first started reading Complicated I was hesitant at first. However, I was presently surprised when I noticed that at some point I was looking forward to continue reading, so that was great! It totally switched my view on this series! So if you were like me at first, and you are debating about continuing on with this series, I suggest you do! I also liked that there was so much more action and suspense this time around. Towards the end, I was so nervous about what was going to happen! As for the ending, WOW!! The next book in line will definitely be interesting!
Once again, I loved Trey and Bri! I'm so happy that Trey finally knows the truth about Bri and I can not wait to see how everything falls into play in their future! I'm looking forward to seeing their relationship grow to the next level!!
