4 Stars!

I just finished That Girl and was so happy to continue with this series. We meet Jazzy in That Girl as Lynlee's best friend. Now in The Game, we get to meet Levi, Lincoln's brother. I loved that this story continues on with the relationship between Lincoln and Lynlee, while creating a new relationship between Levi and Jazzy.Tiny and Jewels as well as Jenni, are also in this story. One thing I will say about both books is that I love these girls!! They are all seriously so funny! The conversations that they have together made me laugh so loud at times! Some of them reminded me of conversations that I would have with my sisters and girlfriends! I loved Jenni...she seriously would say the funniest things. Her personality is out there, and she is the type of friend that every girl should have. I also liked Jazzy's say what you want when you want personality. She would say it how it is and I love when characters are like that. I loved when Lynlee and Jazzy would have their heart to heart conversations.....

"You'll find where you belong. Give it time."

"But you did it , Lynlee. You found your way. How?"

"Lincoln."
Lynlee's eyes light up. "He saved me. Gave me a new name and became my life."

Then there were the make you laugh out loud conversations between Lynlee and Jazzy regarding Jenni.....

"Well, she is the one who taught me how to give blow jobs, and for your information, Lincoln says I'm the best ever."

"Yeah, no shit, he says that. He's not dumb. He just wants his dick sucked."

LOL!! That reply by Jazzy shows exactly the type of personality she has! Straight and to the point! That is exactly the type of relationship she had with Levi. When they first meet there is so much angst between them. From the first time they see each other all they do is push each others buttons. Levi is always telling her how much he wants her, but Jazzy knows how much of a player he is and she is always telling him in his dreams! It is too funny!

Of course, little by little Jazzy starts to break down the walls that Levi has up. Levi always likes to play the ass card but Jazzy does not let him get away with it. Levi has been through so much in his past and has always been upfront with Jazzy letting her know that he doesn't do love and relationships. Jazzy has also been through a lot since Lynlee left her when she turned 18 years old, and is having a hard time moving on. Jazzy also has secrets that no one knows, until it all comes out. Together Levi and Jazzy help each other get through the darkness to find the light......

"We can have it all, Levi. If we can fight to be us in this world."

I really enjoyed this story and after reading the end of this book, I can not wait for the next one!! I know I will continue to follow this series and continue to love all the characters!! That Girl and The Game are the first 2 books that I have read by H.J Bellus and I believe I have found another great author that I may be stalking! Ha Ha!!
