Words Left Unsaid by Missy Johnson
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
3.5 Stars!
I was looking forward to reading Words Left Unsaid after I read the synopsis. However, after reading it, I'm pretty torn on how I feel about it. I did enjoy it, and I felt that it was a good story line, but I also needed a little more. In the beginning, I was having a hard time trying to connect with the characters, and I felt that at moments it was a bit slow. I wish that the story would have had a little more of Aiden and Kiara's story. I think that it would have been more of an emotional roller coaster if I was able to connect and grow feelings for Aiden. I felt that Kiara moving forward wasn't as big of a deal that the Author may have wanted it to be. I just didn't feel connected with that whole aspect of the story line.
I did give this story 3.5 stars because I enjoyed the relationship between Kiara and Max. I know it was hard for Kiara to move on, and start letting herself enjoy her relationship with Max and not feel guilty, but I'm glad that once she did they were really able to connect. Max was a sweet guy, and I loved that throughout the story he was always there for Kiara, even when it had to do with Aiden. The relationship that they had was cute, and Max seemed to have a really cute personality. He was really understanding and playful. I also liked that he did not give up on Kiera when she would try to push him away.
Tilly was a sweetheart. I felt so sad for her because I'm sure she didn't understand what was really going on in her life. It broke my heart towards the end when she asked Max if he would give her a lot of hugs. I know deep down she was missing the connection with her dad. I'm glad that she will live a life full of happiness and hugs!
